Prom 2016

My Prom was on 24th June 2016. It was such a fun night and I thought I would share some of the photos with you! I had my makeup done with Estee Lauder (not an ad by the way, even though I wish!) and my hair was done in Trevor Mitchell.

Top 4 TV Series June 2016

As I am now finished with school until September (yay!), I can watch so much tv and Netflix! I am going to give you my top 5 series at the moment!

4. Bad Education
I love Jack Whitehall and Bad Education is the funniest, but also very rude tv show about a school which is not like your normal school. If you want a laugh, honestly, watch it! Unfortunately, there are only 2 seasons of it which is very sad!

3. Pretty Little Liars
Although I finished watching this ages ago, it is restarting next week and I can't wait! I hate horror movies but this is so exciting and I do hide behind a cushion at times, I must admit!

2. Mock the Week
I love love love Mock the Week. If ever I am down, having a bad day, having a good day, in fact, I will watch it and it makes me laugh so much and I cannot even tell you how much I love it!

1. The Big Bang Theory
Don't get me wrong, I love a good murder mystery, but The Big Bang Theory is my absolute favourite tv show. I have watched 8 series and I am about to get the 9th series. I am completely addicted. It is such a good show to put on whilst you are doing something else, which is what usually happens with me!

I hope you enjoyed this!

What are you favourites?

June So Far - The Bad

Although I have done posts similar, this is something which I feel strongly about and want to share with you. I'm sorry it's a bit of a different one and a bit upsetting, but it needs to be said.

On 10th June 2016, Christina Grimmie, YouTube Star, and Singer, was shot dead at her concert in Orlando. The cause of the shooting is yet to be found out. An innocent girl, who was a friend to many and loved my millions of viewers, her friends, and her family, shot dead.

On 12th June 2016, 49 innocent people were shot dead in a gay club in Orlando. The man who shot them shot himself. He was also gay.

On 16th June 2016, Jo Cox, a labour MP for a constituency in Leeds, was shot dead near her home. We do not know the exact reason yet, but it is highly possible it is related to politics.

In the space of 6 days, 51 innocent people have been shot dead, for being themselves. There is nothing more to it. They were being themselves.

I watched Christina when she first started. I said she would be a star. She was. What a beautiful human being.

The 49 people shot in the nightclub. I didn't know them, but the thought of them having a good time and then being so cruelly shot anger and saddens me.

Jo Cox had two young children and a husband. It could have been any of us, but it was her and there is no reason why.

The thought of people doing this hurts me so badly. What would make you want to kill innocent people, for no good reason other than your beliefs?

I know this hasn't got a lot of explanation, but I think I got my point across. Guns should have laws in America and more tight laws in England.

Rest in Peace Christina

Rest in Peace to the 49 people in Orlando having a nice night out.

Rest in Peace Jo.

June Book Club

Inspired by many people, such as Zoella, who has recently started a book club, I thought I would do my own. I am going to show you 4 books that I have been enjoying this month (mid-May to mid-June) and hopefully, it will give you some good ideas of what to read! Enjoy!

Allegiant - The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth

Insurgent is the third book in the Divergent series and although I loved the first two, I loved the last one the most! It follows on with the character of Tris and how they escape to a factionless new world, called Chicago, a new place where everyone should be safe, but they aren't. It is a thriller as well as an action book and I love it! If you like fast-paced books, you are going to love this! Read Divergent and Insurgent first, though!

Love, Rosie - Cecelia Ahern

As you may or may not know, I adore the film Love, Rosie. It is the most amazing film and I have watched it countless times, I have lost count. The book is very similar to the movie but has a few changes. Even so, I have enjoyed it immensely and I really want to read more of Cecelia's books. If you really like romantic books with twists and cliffhangers, you will love this!

Me Before You - JoJo Moyes

Due to the film being released, I thought it was about time that I read Me Before You. I started it on Sunday night and was finished by Thursday, even due to exams! I loved it so so much! This type of book is one of my favourite books anyway, but this was just so beautifully written. Please read this, I loved it so much!

We Are All Made Of Molecules - Susin Nielsen

I didn't think I was going to like this one very much, due to it being under the 11+ section in my local library. However, as soon as I started reading, I fell in love with the characters and enjoyed reading it so much. It may seem like a younger book to begin with, but it is lovely and light-hearted, which I love to read before I go to sleep.

I hope you enjoy these suggestions, I honestly couldn't recommend them more!

A Hogwarts Student | A Poem

I've always wanted to be a Hogwarts student,
With the gown and the stick and the wand,
And meet all the different people who go,
The short, the tall, the brown and the blonde.

I've always wanted to wave my wand,
and make the flowers grow and grow.
And create new creatures that can cope,
With rain and sun and snow.

I've always wanted to get revenge,
on those who hurt my friends.
Like Voldemort and Malfoy,
Who fought for their ends.

I've always wanted to see the sights,
That those at Hogwarts see,
The Quidditch pitch and the towers,
The train and Hogsmeade.

I've always wanted to fly around,
with no one to stop me,
Apart from a few professors who,
Don't like me to be free.

I've always wanted to sit and watch,
Out the windows of the Hogwarts Express.
And go and play with Ron,
A game of real-life chess.

And at the end of my time at Hogwarts,
I would go out like no other,
But maybe like Fred and George did,
Like brother to brother to brother.

May Sum-up 2016

May has been a long, yet weirdly short month. In some ways, I have hated this month, I have cried way to much, but also, it has been a really great month. Here we go!

Favourite Songs?
The one song that has been on repeat this month has to be Ariana Grande's Leave Me Lonely. I absolutely love it and I was first introduced to it by Gabriella (Velvetgh0st) when she did the most beautiful cover of it on YouTube. I think this song is one that I would want to belt anywhere and everywhere, but especially in my bedroom! I have also been loving the Hamilton soundtrack, from the musical Hamilton. I listened to the soundtrack the whole way through in one sitting in the car the other day, which was a proud moment!

 Favourite People?
I have finally decided that my favourite male actor is Sam Claflin. I love him so much and I cannot wait to see him in Me Before You. He plays the role of Alex in Love, Rosie and you must know that this film is my all-time favourite. Also, Renee Elise Goldberry, who has the most stunning voice and has to be my favourite character from Hamilton, even though I haven't seen it!

Favourite Makeup?
I haven't been wearing an awful lot of makeup recently but my Lash Sensational mascara by Maybelline is a faithful favourite and I will never find one I like more, I don't think! I have also really enjoyed using my Make Up Revolution palette in What You Waiting For?. I talked about this last month and I have used it a lot and I adore it! I am going to do a separate post for all of my products for a change in a different post, so that will be up soon!

Favourite Drink?
I have been enjoying an old favourite this month. Robinson's Orange and Pineapple Squash brings back so many childhood memories when I drink it and when I repurchased it after a few years, I could not stop drinking it! I think I am on my third bottle now in three weeks?

Favourite Pictures?
I left school on the 27th May, so my favourite pictures are a mixture of ones from different events and my last day of school! Enjoy!

I am sorry I haven't posted, but you get the reasons really, don't you? I am going to draft a lot over the half term that should see me through until I finish exams on the 17th June!

Stay happy,
Katie xx
