When did being part of a squad become so serious? When did we stop saying "Sure, you can be my friend!" and start saying "Sorry, you aren't part of our squad?"
When did goals become so serious? Once we were happy, now we are trying to be like other people who are doing things better than us.
When did talking to someone become so serious? One moment we are talking to someone and joking, the next minute we are 'shipping' them.
When did taking photos become so serious? We used to take them to make memories and now we take them to look good, hipster, pretty and make your Instagram feed look good.
When did social media become so serious? One moment we are saying that the day was nice, the next moment we are putting selfies on saying exactly what we are doing.
I am guilty of some of these things, but once in a while, maybe we should remember that we shouldn't take life so seriously. Maybe once in a while, we should take a picture and not think about whether we look good or whether it is grunge enough for our feed. Maybe we should be nice to those people who don't always hang around with you and start being happy that people are talking without cramming their names together as a 'ship' name.
